My mystery, Unexpected, is being released this month in the anthology Murder Ink 2 from Plaidswede Press. It’s their second collection of Murder Mysteries set in New England newsrooms.
The launch is officially on February 25, 2017 at the Winter Meeting of the New England Newspaper and Press Association (NENPA).
I’ve also recently learned that another of my stories, George Washington and the Dragon, is finally to be released in the fantasy anthology Live Free or Dragons sometime around Labor Day, 2017. (About a year after its original scheduled release). It’s also from Plaidswede Press, and is part of their New Hampshire-themed anthology series. You can’t order it yet, and we don’t have a cover, but it’s good to know it’s coming.
One of the other authors had all the contributors to Murder Ink 2 write up a bit about how their story came to be written. You can read it on his blogsite here:
There were three books with the title “Murder Ink” and “Murderess Ink” back in the seventies. They were an interesting smorgasbord of mystery trivia and the like. The re-issued version of "Murder Ink’ differed so substantially from the original that it was almost a completely different book. All of them out of print now for ages, but available used online
We had the Launch Party yesterday, and it was a lot of fun. All the authors read 4 minute snippets from the anthology.
Although I’ve had two books out before (and several stories, not to mention 38 years of nonfiction articles), this was my very first Book Launch event. I gotta get more of these.
