My throat hurts. My tonsils and neck glands are swollen, and there are little white spots on my tonsils. The back of my throat is okay, though… it’s just my tonsils.
And it’s Sunday, and the doctor is closed. It’s probably viral anyway. Grr, and ouch.
I am not a doctor, but I am a nurse. My advise? Tomorrow or sonner get checked, it sounds like strep. Lots goes round in warm months. I suggest you let them do a swab and culture before taking antibiotics though, in case it is viral.
A strep infection can lead to lots of problems… can be serious.
Or not. In mean time, don’t go around sick people, old people, babies, pregnant women, etc…
I second juji’s dx. Strep is nothing to mess around with. Get a culture done, although most docs can tell before the results come back. Feel better soon.
