My username is not an acronym!

Yes, I did … you only missed it by about 11 years. :stuck_out_tongue:

The hurt gets worse and the heart gets harder.

Almost everyone guesses (correctly) that my name refers to where I was born and raised.

About half of them wrongly figure I’m from Astoria, Oregon. I’m actually from Archie Bunker’s neighborhood, Astoria (Queens), New York.

Why are you in such denial?

So, how ya doin’?

I naturally assumed you lived in the Waldorf.

Nah, it’s just taken me that long to think up another one.

People think I’m a chef. I’m just a good cook who has a terrible time thinking up usernames for all these websites. After I register, a much better name always occurs to me. I should have picked One Foot In The Gravy. Sigh.

Ew!

I’m a really big fan…

…of Arthur C. Clarke.

Was it Handsome Harry?

Aha! So you are a cartoon coyote!

Can’t fool me.

Just to clear up, I’m not actually from Ireland, though some of my ancestors are (no, not those ancestors). It’s just a play on my name.

But think of the hassle of having to type that in all the time.

Remind me never to eat at your house.

In this thread garygnu lets it slip that his name is Gary. As god as my witness I always pronounced (in my mind) his username as ‘gar ignoo’.

I am *mostly *white, Namkcalb is just my reversed surname.

That’s actually fair enough. We post in a lot of the same threads and are both lesbians living in a similar area (though she’s recently moved). Also, the beginning two letters are the same.

I wouldn’t assume your real name was PaulParkhead because who would be so stupid as to use their real full name? I would assume your name is Paul, though. That’s not exactly giving a lot away. I know so many Pauls they all have nicknames.

This is what I think of whenever I see your name. One part Paul Gascoigne (for some reason that’s who the character reminds me of), one part the artist Steve Parkhouse. It is a weird twisted combination of inaccuracy and dim memory.

Adhemar was a Bishop who went on one of the Crusades. I needed a name for a Paladin character to play in a tournament computer game. I liked it and wanted a name here that my acquaitences here wouldn’t recognise immediately. They no longer read and I am still here.
