You were her caregiver for all those many years.
That kind of love is not common. You must be a truly great guy.
I wish you well. I lost my true love last year after 14 years of illness.
If you ever want to talk, drop me a PM.

Our deepest condolences.

So very sorry to hear this, Rico

My condolences, Rico.

My condolences, Rico.

So sorry to hear of your loss. She was a good and gentle spirit.
Be sure to take care of yourself in the days to come. I don’t think she would not have wanted you to grieve overmuch. I wish there was more I could do.

I’m so sorry, Rico. There are never words enough.

I’m very sorry for your loss, Rico. :frowning:

I’m so sorry for your loss, **Rico. ** My deepest condolences to you and the family.

This thread is bringing old timers out of the woodwork I haven’t heard from in years! Celtic Cowboy, Encinitas so many others. Let me tell you a story:

Right after Kathy and I got married I introduced her to the SDMB. She looked, said something along the lines of “that’s interesting, honey,” and went back to her football game on TV. It was about 3 weeks after we got married that I found about about a Dopefest in San Diego and told her we were going to spend a weekend there.

“And do what?” was her question. “There’s a meeting of people that are on that message board I showed you the other day,” was my response.

“So, let me get this straight,” said Kathy, “We are driving to San Diego to have dinner with and socialize with people you and I have never met before? Doesn’t sound like fun to me.”

Short version. We went. We met many wonderful people. Kathy was so impressed she went home and registered the cadolphin name and became part of the board. She also chaired two Dopefests, one at the La Brea Tar Pits, the other in Huntington Beach.

She has friends here. So do I. It’s very obvious. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers our way. I have certainly felt humbled by the response. I wish you all the best and it’s great to see all of you every day here. You’re part of my family and I appreciate that.

Ric

I went to the La Brea Tar Pits one. Did I go to HB?

Apparently I did something nice once, and Kathy never forgot it. She was that kind of person.

Nope. You’d moved by then, John. But I was reading her posts lastg night and also found she was the catalyst for your “Last Supper” at Ye Old Kings Head.

And I think it was your french fry pirate boat that impressed her.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. May you ultimately find peace.
