My mom died tonight at about 9:30PM. The nursing home staff found her unresponsive and took her directly to the emergency room, where after 15 minutes of trying to revive her, I told them to stop.
She was 88 years old. Graveside services will be set for later this week in Ogden.
I’m so sorry for your loss, but glad you had her to love for so very long. I hope the next week or so will be filled with exchanging memories of her with your loved ones.
Rico, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m glad that you let us know. If you feel like it, maybe you can talk about some of the good memories that you have and tell us what she was like.
It must have been nice to have a son to speak so gently about you. I always wanted a son.
Try to rest and just get through everything one step at a time.
I could not have asked for a better mother in law. or a better husband. I love you Mom. I miss you already. Damnit couldn’'t you have waited one more day? I was coming to see you again tomorrow. That shower I thought was important before seeing you today seems so insignificant now. Oh how much alike you and I are. You will see that now. I love you so very dearly Mom.
Stop it! I know you are eatting up my guilt. HUGS FOREVER
It doesn’t matter how much time we have together, it’s never enough. If she was struggling, try to take some solace that the struggle is over. It’s what helped me with my Mom.
