I was thinking as I read this thread “I’ve always wanted a breadmaker…” then I read EddyTeddyFreddy’s comment.

Sorry, I didn’t notice the thread was resurrected until today. You did the right thing; I make it as a 1.5 lb loaf. Made some a month or so ago for an Italian themed pitch-in at work & it disappeared QUICKLY.

BTW, if you can figure out how to make a good basic white sandwich bread loaf, please do tell. My results have been less than spectacular and my wife is not a fan (she does like the bagels and crescent butter rolls).
Play around and we should start a bread machine recipe swap in a few weeks.
Yesterday I made the Parmesan herb loaf recipe. I didn’t have oregano on hand so I used rosemary instead. I added about a teaspoonful of minced garlic.
YUM.
Now I need to try out my machine’s extra feature – making flavored butter. MMMMMMMM… garlic butter…
