Very few British people have ever been to the Mull of Kintyre, and most of those that have been there probably have no reason to feel sentimental about it.

I’m not even British and I’ve been there. One thing I remember about the place is it rains.

Sure its nostalgic, but it is personal nostalgia: Paul’s. Very few British people have ever been to the Mull of Kintyre, and most of those that have been there probably have no reason to feel sentimental about it. It means no more to the British in general than it does to Americans, or Botswanans come to that.

Happy Days and The Waltons are nostalgic, even for Americans who didn’t grow up in Milwaukee or Walton’s Mountain.
