Ok so sitting at the dinner table tonight, I was comparing the nutrition facts of different salad dressings. Seeing the Thousand Island with Bacon salad dressing, I decided “Hey…this must have alot more cholestoral and protein than the others.” Looking at it, I learned I was completely wrong. Absolutely no cholestoral or protein. I figured they must just be using bacon flavoring or something. so I looked at the ingredients label. Nope…there it was “Bacon” My question is how is this possible? They have to be doing something wrong here…either mislabelling the nutrition facts, or using imitation bacon.
Nutrition labels are permitted to round things off, so if there is very little cholesterol, they can probably label it as having zero. Same reason a serving of Diet Coke has zero calories – it’s really closer to 0.4.
