Mythbusters - Live Show: what do they do?

Apparently Adam and Jamie are on tour.

I did a search and only found these descriptions:

and

Anyone have insight as to what they do?

Did your second quotation not answer that? Videos, talking about the show, and Q&A.

Per wikipedia:

Those don’t seem like particularly interesting myths. But if Kari is involved in the second one, I’ll watch.

Sure, but I am trying to get a sense for how entertaining it would be for pre-teen kids - which, now that I think about it, I should’ve included in the OP…sorry. :smack:

We are taking our 6 and 9 year old in January. We figure it’ll be enjoyable for them; we are all big fans. I hope it puts some context around the show for them, too.

Here’s some YouTube videos of their live show.

Blast cannonballs through the local buildings.

I went a couple of years ago. It was okay. I didn’t take any kids.

I’m going with my 14 year old son in early January when they come to Tucson. The tickets are pricy, so he’s getting them as a Christmas present.

Adam sings “I Will Survive” in the voice of Gollum.

No, wait, that’s w00tstock.

FWIW, they made an appearance at the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert rally on the Mall last year. I was in the crowd and remember them having us start the wave from the stage down the length of the Mall and back.

We saw one of the shows this week and it was good.

No wait that isn’t right, actually it was ** fantastically super amazingly awesome-cool!!!**

The show was highly entertaining for my 6 and 9 year old who are big fans of the show as I said above. I won’t include any spoilers but I will say that the show included tricks of perception, Q&A, audience participation, bicycles and a grand finale that had my son just about jumping on his seat in excitement.

The audience I was at was very friendly and contained all ages, and certainly many kids (no on under 5 is allowed). The show was still rough around the edges, with Adam and Jamie unashamedly missing their cues and being in the wrong spot but it gave the show an endearing, natural, and honest feel that reflects what the TV series is like. They got a standing ovation at the end and my kids and I were clapping as hard and cheering as loud as anyone.

Once the others here have seen it I’d love to discuss it in more detail but rather than putting spoiler boxes I’ll just wait.

If you can still find tickers buy them. And if you already have tickets get excited for a great experience.
