At 6:36 in the third segment, Someone off-camera asks Adam about Snopes and he replies “Snopes is great, we use Snopes a resource a ton; same with the Straight Dope,” and then goes on to mention a column from Unca Cecil that I am too dumb to find and link to right now.
This seems as good of a time as any to plug the shows airing on April 8 and 22, which I first mentioned in November. In short, I used to work at an explosives testing range on a rocket sled track, which will be featured on the show. I spent a lot of time in the bunker they’ll show “Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage in a bunker at the EMRTC test range reacting with amazement to a test.” I thought the first dozen or so were pretty spectacular myself. After that, they tend to be pretty common, unless a rocket motor flies off the sled and slams into the instrumentation trailer. When the projectile misses the catch tank and takes out high voltage power lines, kills a cow, and is found two miles from where we expected it to be, that’s pretty interesting, too.
If it is, it’s all Santo Rugger’s fault.
Is mythbusters availed anywhere over the air? Especially in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I’ve been all over their site and google and all that, but no luck. I hate Comcast.
Peace,

Adam and Jamie, I call bullshit on your ‘do sinking ships pull swimmers under’ experiment. That redo you had on a few years back about 2 groups of college kids making their own Archimedes mirror weapon was also bunk, the guys ‘found’ their big ass mirror while the girls made theirs from scratch.
