Naked Women in Advertisements

First Trump ads, now naked women. Note that I only see this ad when not logged in.

A naked woman in an ad for a website called newzgeek?

Is this a website for people who think Naked News is too mainstream to report the real stories?

Or for people who read the news naked.

I presume that little gray number following the URL is showing the number of direct clicks.

Rather a … revealing statistic.

Legitimate research.

Speaking of which, and taking advantage of that I’musing my own home machine and connection and not my emplower’s, the Newzgeeks dot net site as of a click one minute ago contains no pics of nekkid womyns in the front page, and no header that would be obviously leading to pics of nekkid womyns. Make of that what you will.

Well, I don’t see ads because of an ad-blocker, but I’d take naked people every time over Trump ads, that’s for sure.

ETA: and on review, I see that all the critical parts of the woman are covered, so it adheres to the American “no nipples” policy.

You’re new here, aintcha?
When a link gets 50 clicks, the poster get another silly little “badge” for it, so posting of alluring links is encouraged.

It’s not clear from the thread title or the OP what you think the problem is. Are you upset that the naked lady appears when you log out, or that she disappears when you log in?

Or he wants the Trump ads back.

She’s not naked. She’s wearing hair and a bed. And they cover all the bits.

Agreed. And I looked really, really hard.

This is the problem. The ads on this website could get someone in trouble at work or at home. There are other less than appropriate ads but they aren’t quite so egregious… such as downblouse clickbait (appears to be a bride wearing a corset frock) and a “virtual mate” sex toy ad (the toy looks like a tall smart speaker and the woman’s picture cuts off at the shoulders).

Those never went away.

Not hardly .

Good to see you Cervaise  .

Is there any member of this board who is posting clickbait to get a badge? I doubt there’s more than a few.

Aren’t you curious? Ads are normally safe for work. And this one probably is, too, at most workplaces.

One weird trick badge awarding software hates…

If you start promising tasteful nudes in ads, that’s a great way to incentivize people not to subscribe.

This is the SDMB. We always demand cites.

In this case, porn cites.
