Good: Pot is now legal CA, although I hardly ever partake anymore. And we’re the 10% part of the country that isn’t freezing.
Bad: My federal income taxes just went up biggly!

This year is starting out wee bit better.
I woke up; just not sure which column to put that in.
Good: I had off so I made an enormous batch of sauce with meatballs and sausage.
Bad: Ate alone.
Bad: woke up with a headache even though I only had two drinks last night
Good: I did practically nothing all day for the first time in ages…wore leggings/t-shirt all day…watched TV…hung out with the dogs, etc
Good: my gf only asks me to do the morning barn chores one day a week.
Bad: today was the one day.
Good: I got a free upgrade to a HD receiver from Dish, with over 300 hours of DVR capacity!
Bad:* “A whole planet of worlds, and not one of them—not one—has a soul. They wander through their lives separate and alone, unable even to communicate except through grunts and tokens: as if the essence of a sunset or a supernova could ever be contained in some string of phonemes, a few linear scratches of black on white. They’ve never known communion, can aspire to nothing but dissolution. The paradox of their biology is astonishing, yes; but the scale of their loneliness, the futility of these lives, overwhelms me.”

Good: I woke up today
Bad: I woke up today.
Bad: My oncologist reported that my cancer had metastasized to my bones.
Good: According to his prognosis, I should be able to outlast Trump as President if he’s not reelected.
**Good **- my 401(k) jumped a bit more than I thought it would. And my cold/flu is improving.
**Bad **- credit-card debt has swelled as well.

Bad: potential blizzard
Good: Multiple coworkers offered to bring me coffee/tea when they saw how sleepy I was.
Bad: I have a Dr. appointment today that’s gonna hurt.
Bad: last night my son puked in the bathroom sink. It wouldn’t go down as it was too chunky, so I had to bail it out by hand (and bare handed, I have no gloves) with a large cup and a large pot, then pour it into the toilet. Urk!
Bad: I read this post
Good: Was able to not throw up after reading this post
(hope your son is okay though)
This past Tuesday:
Good: Cashed a check from a Craigslist buyer; nice guy, good experience.
Bad: Drove the 25 miles to my allergist’s for shots, only to discover there was a fire in the building, they were closed and wouldn’t be re-opening any time soon–their other office is 20 miles further on.
Sidebar: sorry to hear this. {{{hugs}}}
Good: We may have found a new home for our dog.
Bad: We may have found a new home for our dog.
mmm
Why is it that a single day like this is super awesome, but when it becomes habit I get very depressed?
Good: A sweet little orange cat who had been making herself at home in my place up to a week ago, then vanished, showed up again today, none the worse for wear.
Bad: She isn’t a stray as she now has a collar and name tag. She came in, ate kibble, tried to trip me while polishing my shins, then left and hasn’t been back. Greedy, ungrateful little bastard!
