Name a good/bad thing that happened today?

I will start

Good
Won a game on fifa

Bad
Headache

Bad: Package scheduled for delivery today was damaged in transit, order canceled.

Good: Leftover potstickers.

Bad: Meijer was sold out of some of the sale items I wanted to buy

Good: It is a relaxing new years eve.

Good: sausage sandwich for breakfast and it’s a sunny day
Bad: nothing so far

Bad: heard lots of people refusing well-wishing kisses and hugs due to colds. But hey, it’s the middle of winter, this many colds going around is normal.

Good: spent a very nice time with my youngest brother, his family and his MiL. We ran into his nephews, who told us their dad got a new job. He’d been unemployed for a few months.

Good, slept in , Siamese are happy (new food)

Bad, still tired…worked a basketball tourney, it was a mad house for 3 days!
Happy 2018, y’all!!

Bad = Freak’n cold out
Good = Did not have to go out

Bad - Too cold to take the walk I’d planned.

Good - Figured out a way to improve the story I’m writing.

Good: an attractive young woman hit on me (hard) at the grocery store.

Bad: the woman was either tripping or had mental issues (I’d guess drugs). Plus, my gf was with me and she’s been teasing me about it ever since.

Good: carnitas fajitas, potted up another 30 African violet seedlings, looking forward to Hue Jackson jumping into Lake Erie.

Bad: upper respiratory virus effects still lingering, too damn cold out.

Good: I’m continuing to get Noir Kitty, the Big Crow’s cat, to come out of his shell. I love seeing him seeming to enjoy himself as he runs after or hunts for treats and play with a piece of twine on a fishing rod-type of toy. Or sometimes he seems to pretend that his own tail is a snake trying to creep up on him. He’ll grab it and even growl and hiss at it. What a hoot!

It used to be all he did was hide and sleep and run for his life if either of us approached. I felt so sorry for him. It’s such a relief now to see him have fun. I hope one day soon he’ll trust me enough to allow me to touch him. Even after eight or so years, the Big Crow doesn’t often get to do that.

Bad: We went to the annual no-alcohol street festival downtown this evening to find that there were only a small fraction of vendors and food sellers as there usually is. I don’t know why that was but I hope next year will be better.

Good: I still have one more day before I have to go back to work.

Bad: I only have one more day before I have to go back to work.

Good: Chicago homicides down 16 percent in 2017.

Bad: There were 650 killed in Chicago in 2017.

Yes. This. The work week is gonna be nuts, too.

Good: It’s cold enough that the cats are very cuddly.

Bad: I have to leave the house to get some shopping done for the school week for the kids.

Good: Crippled dog took a shit for me, outside.

Bad: The Rose Bowl.

Good: I’ve just finished another pencil and ink drawing.

Bad: The picture looks good but the image I had in mind when I started drawing it was much more beautiful.

Bad = It is still crazy cold and forecast to remain that way for at least the next 10 days.
Good = They delivered oil today!

Today for me is 1-January.

Good: (1) Sunny day, temps in the 60s. (2) Mr. Knightly (cat) was unexpectedly present and accounted for this morning, and ready for food.

Bad: I learned that author Sue Grafton died. No “Z.”

Bad: wife woke up feeling dizzy and didn’t really get mobile until about 5 p.m. Not an auspicious start to the new year.

Good: Another beautiful day.
