Count me among those who abhor “Titanic”! That brief nude scene soured me on it, and still does to this day, let alone the length. To be sure, the event happened (not denying it whatsoever), but 3 hrs.+ to tell how it happened, to dramatize it-- no, not w/the fire of 1000 suns, let alone 10,000!
Trainspotting was too hard, I had to turn it off. I’m sure it has lots of redeeming value, but no.
JFK. I have no desire to watch Stone’s conspiracy propaganda piece. I’ve found I have less tolerance for that mentality as I get older.
So far this hold true for Victor Salva’s entire catalog - partly because of the child molestation, but perhaps ever-so-slightly more because he’s a worthless hack.
That Michael Jackson thing, but unfortunatly, there is a sum of money that would probably make me cave. It would be *a lot *of money, mind you. Good thing no one will be making that offer.
Eraserhead.
It made my brain very, very ill.
I would scrub the bit of Brain that contains the memories of it with a Brillo Pad if I could.
Put me down for these. Yuck.
The Royal Tenenbaums.
Why?
Torture porn, for the reason I don’t want to look at people and think they could think that way.
“The Bucket List” came out when I was told I have incurable cancer. No thanks.
There’s plenty of movies that I won’t watch because I don’t like them. That’s boring, though.
I think the more interesting picks are things like Schindler’s List, which I saw with my mother. We both agreed that it was an excellent and very important film and that neither of us had any intention to ever watch it again.
Or how about something like I <3 Huckabees, which I like quite a lot, and I’ve seen many times, but now I can’t make it through the whole movie anymore. See, most of the times I watched it were with one of my closest friends, and we were still in the habit of watching it together and discussing it regularly up to when he committed suicide. Every so often, I’ll still put it on, watch it as long as I can, but within an hour I have to turn it off and do something else for a while.
Any Michael Moore movie.
Transformers or any of the sequels
Any Michael Bay actually, but especially those ones.
Wow Dogzilla, I didn’t think there was another person like me out there. Are you a girl doggy? I actually saw the Passion of the Christ, though, and thought it wasn’t too bad.
I have tried to watch Chicago twice, and fell asleep both times.
I am also submitting a claim for the Notebook. My daughter said there was a big twist at the end.
My father made me see The Godfather while I was trying to read Papillon - I read until the house lights came down, and tried to read during the movie, which pissed Dad off no end.
I have never seen a Hugh Grant movie.
I have never, and I have no desire, to see Pretty Woman. I’ve seen plenty of clips, and they were enough to turn me off.
Clerks.
I generally avoid torture porn. I saw the first Saw movie and hated it. But I could probably sit through its sequels for love or money. I’d probably even give Human Centipede or A Serbian Film a try, for the right price. For this thread, I’ll toss out Expelled (the Ben Stein creationism movie). Just not going to happen.
I fully support anyone’s resolve to avoid this movie; it’s incomprehensible how anything so terrible could be made from such great source material.
A Serbian Film - I’ve seen some disturbing movies in my time but this one seems a little much
Serbian Film (Haven’t seen it. Never will)
Anything directed by Lars Von Trier (I’ve only seen Dogville and AntiChrist but found them both nasty and pretentious)
Any of the Hostel films (Saw the first one, left the cinema feeling dirty and depressed.)
Iron Man (piece of shit)
The Saw movies (Can’t believe there are so many of them. The first one was pretty good, but I totally tuned out after the 3rd. Who keeps paying to see them???)

I had to look up Human Centipede. And yeah, that one too.
No worries. The sequel just came out, so you can see it instead!
Someone mentioned In the Company of Men upthread. I thought that movie was brilliant in its simplicity.
Passion of the Christ was pretty “meh” to me. I didn’t really need to see the whole scourging scene, but otherwise it was pretty boring.
For me: It’s a Wonderful Life. I’ve seen snipets, and it looks just awful.
The one I’ve seen that I would never see again: Life Force.
