Name my Baby!/ Your fave name

Some good initials:

USA
GOD

My sisters and I are BEG, BAG, and BLG (bulge). No one has ever noticed this except us though. I’m not the monogram type so I doubt anyone ever will.

Huh?

Girls:

Elizabeth Clair (Lizzie, Liz or Beth)
Katherine Jane (Kate or Katie)
Sarah Marie (Sally)

Boys:

Martin James
Christopher Robert (Okay, a little homage to A.A. Milne)
Luke
Obviously, I’m a fan of traditional names. There’s no reason to handicap a child from the beginning.

StG

Nycole
Alyce
Bryanna
Syndy

I might think of more later.

Anne
Alexander
Rose
Paige

I love the name Jackson, too! But that’s my cat’s name, so in my mind it will always be a cat’s name. You, however, by all means. . .

My favorite boys name, and the one I’ll use should I ever have one, is Jason. Has been ever since I was a kid, and I couldn’t tell you why. I like Zachary a lot too, but Jason’s the name I told my siblings they can’t use. Just in case.

I don’t like many girls names, so hopefully I never have to make that decision. I liked Emma, until Ross and Rachel used it and it got popular again. I’d probably settle on something with an androgynous nick name, like Samantha or Danielle. Boys names are much more fun IMO.

And, Congratulations!

Jane - if I had another daughter I’d name her Jane.

John
Shane
Chaim
Pierce
William

Alexandra
Lauren
Claire

Do you wanna play the what game?

Anna
Sophie (very trendy right now, though)
Julia
Evelyn (Evie for a nickname)

Daniel
William
Brandon
George

I like the classics.

Gilgamesh

:stuck_out_tongue:

We should suggest names that go with our board name.

Let’s see…

Girl Tao, or Lin. *
And for boys…gonna have to think about that one, ‘cause this thread just made me want to create a poll due to the curiosity I’ve always had about american females’ middle names.

/vrooms off

My online gaming presence was dominated for a lengthy period by the name Taolynn, so, bias admitted.

Jane*! Stop this crazy thing!

This is not an endorsement for a name.

I could never decide on girl’s names, but I was sure I’d name my first son Ezra Kyle, my second son Ezekiel and I’d call him Zeke, and my third would be Jedidiah, I’d be ok with Jed.

And for me it was all Western associations, not biblical. Buncha cowboys.

I quite like Irish (boy) names- the girl names tend to be a bit gutteral and “not pretty” e.g. Gobnait (GUB nit).

Nice, uncommon Irish boy names:
Tadgh (Tige/Tyg)
Aibhne (AV-nyeh)
Cormac
Ailill (AH-leel)
Oisin (OSH-een)
Faolan (FAY-lon)
Lorcan
Ronan
Se (SHAY)
Ultan
Oran (OR-an)
Aodhan (AW-on)

Of course, if you want to be mean… name him Ainbheartach (AN v’yar tak)- it means evil-doer.

Just don’t give her the middle name of Ann, Lynn or Marie.

My husband keeps insisting we should name our first boy Cthulu Superfly Hislastname. If you take it I can tell him it has already been done and to let it go already. :stuck_out_tongue:

I laughed.

Can I interest you in a fruit basket?
