Name that fictional ship!

que?

Well, they’re reprinting them

Alice Liddel - is that the ship from Colin Greenland’s Take Back Plenty?

The Moon Dragon 1 was a series of 19? episodes of a college D & D game

The Oenone is a voidhawk, a type of starship/being from Peter F. Hamilton’s The Reality Dysfunction, Part 1: Emergence.

Cloak of Untrammeled Dignity - Well, this is some sort of massive orbital defence platform above the Tausennigan O’benn homeworld in Howard Tayler’s webcomic, Schlock Mercenary.

Reading down the thread, I really thought I was gonna get to call the Rhabwar, but somebody beat me to it.

Here’s a few more, roughly in order of ascending difficulty.

Ship
Uwanna Byer
UNS Hibernia
Gantrithor
Questor’s Promise
Switchblade Honey (Hint: “Bollocks!”, in space!)

*Switchblade Honey * - Starship from the graphic novel of the same name (Ellis/McKinney)
UNS Hibernia - Starship from Nicholas Seafort’s “Hope” Series
Gantrithor - space carrier in Starcraft
Shp - Reboot!

Yep.

Well dang, maybe I should have said in order descending difficulty. I always thought Switchblade Honey was really obscure, and I thought not too many people here would have played through Starcraft.

That’s not the 'Ship ’ I’m thinking of though.

Have I missed it or will somebody please put me out of my misery re the Pathfinder?

Dunno about Pathfinder. Sorry.

These were still unanswered after I earlier posted them, so here you go:
USS Cunningham - An advanced U.S. Navy stealth destroyer from a series of near-future naval warfare novels; the author’s name escapes me.
Sutherland - HMS Sutherland was one of Hornblower’s commands; on ST:TNG, the USS Sutherland was a Nebula-class starship briefly commanded by Data.
USS Truman - A starship mentioned in passing on ST: DS9 as the former assignment of a mentally-disturbed Vulcan.
Surak - The Vulcan shuttle which brings Spock to the Enterprise in ST:TMP.

Try these:
Lady Macbeth
Villaneuve’s Revenge

USS Melbourne
USS Indianapolis - a real ship, prominently mentioned in a work of fiction.

The USS Indianapolis was mentioned in Jaws

The USS Melbourne was destroyed at Wolf 359 in ST:TNG

P.R.S. Pathfinder was mentioned in Space Cadet by Robert A. Heinlein.

Destroyed at Wolf 359.

Correct as to both the Melbourne and the Indianapolis.

Here’s a couple more:

Cortez
Admiral Zheng He

The USS Cortez was mentioned in a DS9 episode (as was the USS Malinche), and I recognize the great Chinese admiral’s name, but don’t remember a fictional ship named after him.

Both are starships(mechanical) from Peter F. Hamilton’s The Reality Dysfunction/The Neutronium Alchemist/The Naked God series.

Not the Cortez I was thinking of.

I was reading that a couple months ago, so now I know why I felt I should know it. :smack:
