Morning all,
A whole lot of meh here. The list of chores/shopping for this weekend keeps getting longer. Blarg.
Morning all,
A whole lot of meh here. The list of chores/shopping for this weekend keeps getting longer. Blarg.
I am also having a day of meh and blurf, and I have a meeting to go to this afternoon that requires a 15-min walk to the other end of campus. Good job I wear trainers to work for this specific reason.
I decided to be nice to my new co-irkers and today I brought in the double chocolate cranberry fudge that I made at the weekend. It took ages to set properly, much longer than the recipe stated, and it is extremely rich and gooey so I can’t eat much of it myself. Thus, the office got the majority of it. I left it in the kitchen with a note telling folks to eat it before it melted. Went back before lunch to make a cup of tea and the box was empty, there was a note from the postgraduate students in the room next door saying that it was amazing. That’s my good deed for the day!
It’s Wednesday so that means pub night tonight, I’m hoping to go home early today but we’ll see what comes out of this afternoon’s meeting. Ho hum.
Booger has Teh Ghey. He’s constantly coming out of the closet.
Allie enjoys exploring closets when they’re open. She’s also been known to pull drawers open and nest in them.
Khan often sneaks out into the hallway when nobody’s looking, then we have to figure out where the meowing is coming from when he wants back into the apartment.
I have meh today. It’s not quite blurf–blurf is distinctly negative, whereas meh is much more apathetic. Meh.
Much meh here, too. Rainy and overcast. The clouds were kinda pretty this morning, all gray and white and swirly.
Once again, no work to do.
Yawn.
I woke up with a headache which means rain is on its way. Therefore I will drink large amounts of strong coffee to get rid of the headache. I will also make myself sick from too much caffeine and will spend the rest of the day twirling around like a 10 year old on Halloween.
Guess what day it is? Guess what DAY it IS??? I watch this commerical elebentyone times every Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday!
It’s a* brrrrrrrr* 37 degrees outside with a projected high of 47.
I get to walk hellpup today, well actually just let her out because she pulls to much and I’m not going to risk it yet.
Mawnin all and Happy Humping Day
This week is turning out well, new apartment, band practice tonight and I have a “date” on Sunday. I am cautiously optimistic.
Blood to caffeine ratio is seriously deficient, need to work on that.
Jim
Howdy from da cave! Irk is still in progress. Just finishin’ up some stuff from here just cause. Ima order chikin wings from the Pubic Sto’ in a bit. They have good wings there. I shall also make some sorta side dish. Probably a rice a sump’n other.
Yay for new digs and date Jim!
Ok, back at it.
It’s Hump Daaaaaayyyyeeee! ![]()
It is currently 79 degrees Murkin here. Oh-lando ain’t got NO time for cold.
I just finished reading King’s Dr. Sleep. It were very good Imma thinkin’.
Stopped in at Tar-jay on my way home last night and found Maddie’s Xmas dress. It is kee-UTE if I do say so myself. Pics will be loaded for both Thanksgiving and Xmas festivities at the appropriate time.
Eatage of chikin wings and wild rice has occured. Yeah, we et early. We was hongree.
Tonight is Evening Prayer over to the church house.
Thus the excitatement here in swampland continues.
Bah. Apparently the Christmas craft stall isn’t happening…
No idea why, the market had said it should be fine, but they’ve just stopped replying to anything, and we’re now past the deadline for handing in the paperwork- and we haven’t been given any paperwork to fill out yet. I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up an online shop for ages, maybe I should get round to it now.
Eating like field hands and gobbling like hogs, no doubt.

I think I don’t have any blood left in my veins. I think it’s all caffeine in there by now.
Apparently my cookies sold well at the Mikado bake sale today (I wasn’t actually able to make it myself, as I was working all day in another part of town.)
Found one of my cats buried under several towels in the closet today. Little sneak!
He’s so cute I can’t stay mad at him for long.
Another busy, busy day, followed by a stop at WalMart, so it was a long day too. But they had pre-formed Angus burgers reduced, so I bought 3 packs. We had burgers for supper and I have 5 more burger meals in the freezer - yay!!
Shortly, I will iron my assorted towels and fill out the inventory sheet so I can drop them off tomorrow. Luckily, the ironing is the easy part. Then I’ll settle in the position and work on the bright green shawl I started last night. I’m tired of making hats for a while.
Much cold is headed our way, and I am not amused. On the other hand, we’re on day closer to spring, right?
Taz is our door-opening, specifically the pantry and the kitchen cabinets. He doesn’t do it that much any more, but I figured out if he keeps getting into the pantry, I need to check the cat feeder - it’s usually empty. oops!
We had a cat some years back that could open one of the drawers in our hutch. She was a goof!
That’s all I’ve got. My brain is mush.
What a day.
I’m tired. I overslept, then I got a customer call at 2 minutes before I was to log off and it was a looooooooong call. Is ok but it made me late for letting out hell pup. I’m still very tired but I don’t feel it until I get up and start walking around.
I haven’t caught any mice but I sprinkled bay leaves around since I read mice don’t like the smell and that seemed to keep them out of that areas where I put them. Then I read that cloves work too so now my room smells like cloves. A little too much like cloves. It sure opens the sinuses and makes me hungry too. I hope it’s not hurting Sah-dog.
I bought some good poison but then I read the directions (should have read them in the store) and it’s not safe to use in a house. I think I’ll mix it up and put some out in the shed.
I got my first hospital bill today, one doctor, two consults = $375.
My Stormy cat would ask to go outside. I never wanted to let her out but her mother was feral and she never adapted to staying indoors.
One day she asked to go out the front door, it was pouring rain and she gave me that evil look. Then she asked to go out the back door, where it was… pouring rain. If looks could kill I would have been dead. In her defense I was living in a row house, it took her a while to figure out it was one great big outdoors. It was a big day for her when she figured out she could go out the front door, walk around the block, and come in the back.
It’s Wednesday evening and I’ve just now made it to the MMP. I think that about sums up my week so far.
I haven’t chipped in with a mono complaint lately and I know you’ve all been missing them so here goes. Grocery shopping after school for a large quantity of groceries wore me out to a ridiculous degree. Like, I was so weak and shaky that I had a hard time putting my credit card back in my wallet because my hands didn’t want to work. Ugh.
The good news is that we’re going out into the community tomorrow (ironically, grocery shopping is one of our stops) and so I get to wear jeans two days in a row because we get to wear them on Friday as well. Yay!
And the even better news is that RT will be home this weekend!!!
Towels are done and I just printed off the inventory sheet. I’m going to fill it out, bag everything up, and assume the position. Can’t believe it’s only Wednesday!!! This is waaaaaay too long a week.
MWAH!!
Sari, just a heads up about rodenticides (is too a word), Some types are very attractive to dogs because of their sweetness, these are blood thinners usually. You have probably taken the same stuff as of late. Your vet could fix Sah-dog right up(vitamin K) but I just wanted you to know.
A. Beer O’ Clock
Q. What time is it?
Cheers all
Jim
