Name That Loon: A Nickname MMP

Chikin noodle soup was a nummy thing on a chillyish evenin’.

MOOOOOOM unsupervised and control of the remote. Next thing we know you’ll go all hawg wild and eat ice cream right out of the carton.

*If only *I had ice cream… :frowning:

The Christmas cake smells nice (and left the kitchen smelling nice), I don’t wanna wait over a month to eat it…

I think my brain’s off today- I went down my allotment earlier, to dig up a few parsnips 'n jerusalem artichokes, got halfway home, and realised I’d left the parsnips on the ground, so went back for 'em :smack:

Got home, made dinner, et dinner, suddenly realised I’d run out of milk and forgotten to buy some earlier, and one must have milk for coffee in the morning or Bad Things will happen. Reached for my bag to get some money out to go to the shop, and my bag wasn’t there.
It wasn’t downstairs either.
Or in the car.

I’d left it at the sodding allotment, sitting happily in the open next to the shed, and I’d walked past twice without noticing it. I had to drive back there and look for it in the dark. :smack:[sup]2[/sup]

I’m lucky I’d left just before it went both dark and rainy, so no-one had been down there and nicked it. It’s got my driving license, bank card, and money in it, but luckily it just got a bit wet, and was still there.

What is an allotment?
What diameter are your parsnips? Here they are sold to large, and the centers are pithy.
I stir fry them in butter for Mrs. Plant (v.3.0).

I’ve mentioned it before on 'ere, basically an allotment’s a bit of ground, rented cheap (from the council in this case) for growing vegetables in. Very handy if you’re living in rented housing, 'cos it means you don’t lose all your stuff if you move house.

My parsnips are really inconsistent- some are tiny and some are about 4" diameter, and you don’t always know which is which til you dig 'em up. The ones I got today are about 2". They’re really easy to grow though- just sow the seeds, and ignore them until harvest time, I don’t water them unless it’s really dry (or the roots grow funny) and slugs don’t eat the leaves, which is handy! They do much better than my carrots.

I’m losing it. I came to the computer to look something up, but as soon as I opened a new tab, I forgot what I was going to do. dammit.

I used to love my job. Used to. But today I discovered (after having suspected it for a while, and been largely able to ignore it) that my boss, and quite possibly also the rest of my company, has ideals that sort of go against my own ideals.

Umm… at least I’m only here until next April? In the meantime, I’ll shut the hell up about my own political/cultural views.

Worked, delt with loons, got stuck in traffic. Home and hockey time.

Thanks for the explanation swampy, by the way.

Important question: If your boss doesn’t like a certain piece of music, and then you bring your melodica to work and play the piece of music your boss doesn’t like, in front of her, will you get fired?

Got in a mood today and pretended I was Dusty Hill. My fingers hurt a bit but all in all a successful day. Could be the beard.

Mine has just crossed the line at 7in/178mm

Cheers and for all you regular working stiffs “Remember Tomorrow is Friday”

Jim
Midget you could get fired just for playing the Melodica, some people hate them:D

Could the end of mono be creeping into view? I’m still at home and still exhausted, but I’m not as exhausted as I expected I’d be considering that in the course of work and school today that I walked 4.25 miles.

This could be good.

You were going to send some money to my PayPal account.

That seems awfully large, but they are probably not pithy if they are fresh.
Do you cook the core at 4"?

Up at 3 am. It sucks.

It’s a dark 46 degrees with a high of 60 today.
Positively springlike.

I have to see the doctor at 9 and then I’m bouncing over to a friend’s house to visit and get some lunch.
I’m going to want to sleep in, but I cant.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 58 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 76 for the day. Then it shall cool down again over the weekend.

I like parsnips but they can be hard to find down in these parts. Quite tasty though!

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. It’s a rigorous regimen but the end result is breathtakin’.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Dear me, I was going to play it for a special event. Should I scrap the idea? :frowning:

l LOVE PARSNlPS!!!

Hi ** Drew **, nice to see you

Another Medical Firday, driving VWife around to see her quacks and drug pushers.
