I’ve been trying to locate some incense sticks with a certain scent.
First scent is something like burning leaves on a crisp fall afternoon.
Second scent is the tried and true church incense. The Catholic church kind that they put in the basket and wing it around.
I’ve been to a few shops and everything I try is way too perfumey.
Thanks in advance.
Sandalwood?
You could try making your own incense to suit your particular nose needs. Or ask your local viccar who his supplier is.

Buy church incense online. And here. And here. And here.
I recommend the self light charcoal and the Monastery Brand sampler of 12 types of incense so you can do a smell test. A web search will reveal other distributers and types of church incense, maybe even for cheaper prices. In fact, if you’re looking for the incense used in the church you grew up in, it will most likely be the cheapest brand. Also, most churches tend to use the granular resin incense rather than the powders or the branches-and-bits types.
If you want a church-type incense burner, search for ‘thurible.’
A charcoal should be red hot before you put incense on it (allow for at least ten minutes of pre-burning to get there). It helps to brush off the ash before spooning the incense onto the coal. Make sure there are no smoke detectors on in the room (churches use heat sensors rather than smoke detectors).
Peace.
