When I worked at Walmart there was a song that would come over the loudspeaker every so often. It was by one of those whiny emo-type bands and the chorus went “don’t tell me why, NA na NA na, the voices in my head” (yeah, it was hard to decipher, stupid whiny emo singers). The singer’s voice sounds really familiar but I don’t know what band it is. I heard it again over the radio today and for some reason I really want to know who it is. I don’t really know why I care because it’s not a very good song, but the mystery must be unraveled! Anyone know?
It sound like a line from a Tool song - off Opiate, I think, or possibly Undertow, though this is a Saturday night post and I’m too drunk to remember which one {“Should I listen to the voices in my head?”}, but there’s nothing whiny or emo about it: this isn’t the song you’re looking for, unless whining shoegazers have started covering Tool while I wasn’t listening.
Nope, definitely not Tool. It sorta sounded like Blink 182, except that their songs are more fast and poppy I think.
