So, I was watching TV with my mom, and there was some murder mystery movie that I never got the name of. Basic plot is, you have this group of friends, who went to the Police Academy together. Two girls in the group get kicked out or leave, I wasn’t around for that part of the movie. One of the girls marries one of the guys, has a couple of kids, and then they have a falling out. Guy moves out and is living with the other girl, now his live-in girlfriend while one of the othe guys in the group is now dating the soon-to-be-ex-wife.
Drama ensues when someone ties up and shoots the wife, and there are no clues and a number of suspects, including the husband (a real jerk) and his girlfriend.
I want to figure out the name of the movie, cause for a late-night TV movie, it was actually pretty good. Anybody happen to know what it is? If it helps, the husband is skinny, bright red hair, wears a blue blazer, carries a snubnosed revolver in a shoulder holster.
Actually, there was a David Caruso movie on earlier in the day, I think, so at first I thought it was him until I started paying attention to the TV instead of my email. None of the stars looked like anyone I knew, although the guy who played the neighbor looked familiar, in a “That guy” kinda way. I think the network name was “LMN”, which a quick google shows is the Lifetime Movie Network.
Totally out on a limb here but there’s a 2005 Lifetime movie called Officer Down. Not sure if the plot matches, but there’s a ginger in it (Greg McDonald).
Noh, that’s not it, I’d have remembered Casper Van Dien, star of the memorable Dracula 3000.
Actually, I’m not even sure if all of the main characters went to the police academy together or not, that’s just what my mom was telling me later. Also, I believe the David Caruso movie that was on earlier, in case anyone is curious, was “Jade”.
Could you tell what time period it was set in? How about any of the names of the characters? After what you’ve already stated, I’ve given a cursory glance at Eric Stoltz but haven’t found anything yet. Nor does using the key words “police academy” on the IMDb seem to produce anything that fits.
