My company’s international “newsletter” had a feature on ordering office supplies online. Included was a picture of this office supply. Does anyone know what these things are and what they’re used for? They appear to be a brand called “Omega” and the writing below that indicates they’re gold-colored, so I guess one could get them in other colors. I’ve never seen these in the U.S. What the heck are they?
I was all set to say “They’re called brads!” as nobody ever seems to know what to call those gold-colored things with the long wings you spread to temporarily hold papers together.
My best guess on your item is some sort of stick-on photo corners or paper corner protectors as it looks like the tabs fold over. Their packaging looks about 15 years old, so who can tell?
I thought they were paper fastened tab-like items, too. But I’m inclined to go with gotpasswords since the search I did for “omega colour” came up with stuff for photography related wares and specifically, an Omega Colour photo studio in the UK.
Well I’m not sure what they’re called either but they’re paper fastners. You put the pages together and put one of those on the corner and fold in the corners, then you fold the triangle over and it holds the papers together.
They are called Round Head Fasteners.
Ignore that. I didn’t look at the link first. :smack:
They are metal abrasive disks used to repair punctured bicycle tires.
They are called fasteners. I’ve always called them “prongs” though.
