I’m curious to find out what this piece of music is that was used in The Queen. It sounds so familiar but I can’t place it. You can hear it in this trailer over at YouTube; the piece I’m interested in begins at 0:44.

I listened to bits of the sound track (composed by Alexandre Desplat) at Amazon. Sounds like it’s original to the movie – the track called People’s Princess II, maybe? Amazon doesn’t play the whole track so it’s hard to tell for sure.
Haha, I can’t believe I didn’t think to check the OST! For some reason, I thought it was some well-known classical piece that I couldn’t put my finger on. I’m going to check out the OST now, thanks!
It does sound similar to “Carol of the Bells.”

Agreed, Elendil’s Heir, The Queen is a spectacular film, I’m on my third watching as we speak.
