…the one where Mulder and Scully go undercover in a planned community to investigate residents disappearing? You know, where the community has all these strict rules, and if you break them, the big creature comes and kills you? The cute big guy from ER was in it…
I need the title of this episode, if you please. Thanx…
Here’s one more I thought of…I think its my fave episode ever:
M & S are in the woods where people are disappearing, and they find this man-shaped creature thingy with glowing red eyes who blends into the trees and surroundings. I think it was implied that the creature was a remnant of the Spanish expedition to find the fountain of youth, and since the creature was immortal or something, it had evolved into its forest surroundings. I love that damn creature. But why was it killing people?

Why the hell don’t we have more episodes like we used to? Like those described above? Good stand-alone episodes without any of this “ooh-no-Krycheck-is-evil-again-it’s-the-syndicate-and-the-alien-hybrids-and-Scully’s-baby-and-wait-is-Mulder-abducted-oh-no-we’d-better-file-a-report” crap. I’ve tried to be a regular X-Files watcher, and in the first few seasons, it didn’t matter if I missed an episode. Now I’m fscking clueless as to what’s going on.

(Yes, I know the valid answer to that question. I just feel like pouting.)
Yep, I agree totally. I remember watching great episodes like “Our Town” (my favorite), but now that every episode involves the Alien plot it sucks. I really haven’t watched too close since the confusing movie came out.
I LOVE this episode! But, my favorite part is when Mully is lying in bed, and in comes Scully with her face all done up with a green facial mask, how Mully jumps. Or they call each other ‘pet names’ and she calls him ‘poopyface’? It’s goofy, but I loved it.
My favorite scene is when, after waiting all day for somebody to come neaten up his leaning-over, stained, door-hanging-open mailbox and consuming in that time a half gallon of orange juice, you see him for just a moment consider recycling it back into the container it came from.
