“Jack” being taken, I’ll have to name mine “Will.”
Though I am partial to “Gilette…”

Fuji
Gala
Golden Delicious if desperate
What to put on/in them (occasionally) - peanut butter or cheese spread (makes it taste as if it has brie on it)
Nothing beats the Fuji Apples. They are the crunchiest, sweetest, most delicious apples around.
Golden Delicious. I could eat a treefull.

Jonagold, Granny Smith, and there are two more I just can’t think of at the moment. I think one of them has the word lady in the name but I’m not sure.
I know them when I see them at the farmers market, though!
Mutsu, I think they go by another name as well, can’t remember it, though, they’re HUGE green apples, tart and crunchy.
Put me down for Granny Smiths too, and I love those for pie, they stay firm and crisp, not mushy and wet.
I will ONLY eat a Mcntosh or a Spy
Gravenstein, Tsugaru, Northern Spy, Winter Banana, and Sekai Ichi!
Every fall I drive to the apple farms in central Washington State to get some of the rarer apples. Last year I got 14 types.
The top ten breeds comprise %90 of apple sales in the US, so almost all of the types that can be found in grocery stores are the same 6-10 breeds.
Red Delicious for me.
Pacific Rose, but Royal Gala is ok in a pinch.
Golden Delicious.
But the G4 Imac with the 17" monitor runs a close second.
Oh, come on. How could you name an apple anything but Barbossa?
Maybe I’ll name it Bootstrap Bill?
Have to agree with Rabid_Squirrel… Braeburns have always been a fav of mine (along with really good Galas), but the recent Pacific Rose variety (also know as New Zealand Rose) are truly spectacular.
Kallisti.
…wha?
