The guy in Red Dragon named himself after “The Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sunne” or something like that-a painting by William Blake.
If you were a serial killer, what painting would you name yourself after?
If you play, it must be a painting and only one.
I’d call myself El Greco’s “View Of Toledo”
I’d have to go with either Dali’s “The Persistence of Time” or William’s “The Last Ride of The Purple People Eater”. I guess it would depend on the type of person I was going after.
O.K To spare the reputation of Robert Williams, I’ll just pick the Dali. That way I can make the same mistakes as serial killers in most mysteries and leave a calling card so the police can confirm they were all done by the same guy-maybe a couple of melted watches. Knowing my luck, I’ll end up being The Twisted Timex Terminator.
I would have to call myself “Guernica,” after Picasso’s Guernica. Then I would not only have a cool name in the press, but also something to model my crime scenes after, if we really want to go that route.
“The Starry Night Killer” is really good. Maybe you could have a collection of ears or something.
