Names for guys: Edmund, Theodore, Benjamin, Henry, Sebastian, Raphael, Tobin, Joseph, Simon. Ralph is OK when pronounced Rafe, a la Ralph Fiennes (or Ralph Rackstraw :D), but I don’t like it when pronounced as spelled, even if it is the name of my favorite professor.
For girls: Phoebe, Miranda, Josephine, Gwendolyn, Kate, Margaret, Cecilia (my Confirmation name), Astrid, Emily
In college, I had a friend of Pakistani/French descent and her name was Anik . . she didnt like her name so she went by Anika (sp?) . . loved it, but kind of lost its luster once The Phantom Menace movie came out (Anikan Skywalker [sp?]) . . .
My mom’s a Peggy too. People have actually ARGUED with her that her name must be Margaret. :rolleyes:
