I’m up to 17,266 total, which is just OK. I missed a day (went wine tasting on Sat, woot!) and haven’t really caught up, in fact, lost a bit of momentum over it.
I did a write-in with the Nano interns on the YouTube channel the other day, which was quite productive. I mean, they were annoyingly perky and gave some terrible advice which I ignored - - but when they said, here’s a sprint, write for 10 minutes without stopping, GO, I did! I’m wondering if there are any more sprints I can hook into.
I think one good, overachieving kind of day will put me back on track. I’m still very unhappy with my story, but that’s really not the point. The point is, to finish. Which I intend to do. 33,000 words to go in the next 19 days. Oof, sounds like so many…
How about the uncreative solution of just starting a new story? Keep your current word count (you did write all that during NaNo, after all) and just add the word count for the new story to that.
Oh yeah. I ended up not going to work Tuesday, so I knocked out the last 6k, bringing me up to 50,020. As usual, the story isn’t complete at this length, but hey, getting to 50k is my real goal for November, and the rest will sort itself out later.
