Naomi Judd cuts kids out of will

That is a most sensible attitude.

Latest is Ashley is OK but Winona is not because she is broke

Do you have a cite for that?

It was Naomi’s money and property. Her family should respect her wishes.

How much Judd’s money would be left after thirty-one years? They broke up in 1991.

Naomi had Hepatitis and other health problems. Wynonna has been in rehab and had DUI’s. Divorces are always expensive.

Some quick searching on Wynonna Judd’s net worth gives estimates of $12M to over $20M. Naomi’s seems to be $25M. Ashley from $14M to $25M.

No brokeness in sight.

I guarantee that there are still considerable residuals and royalty payments coming in from their recordings.

Got a cite for those numbers?

Ashley was badly injured last year in remote Africa. Took over 2 days for her to get to a hospital

I’ll stick my neck out and say that most married couples, if they each even HAVE a will, will leave everything to the surviving spouse

We don’t have children, but this is not how we’ve structured our estates. In addition to specific behests, we have each made provisions for other family members and friends in addition to our surviving spouse.

His father and brother. And the new writer is working for them, GF still gets nothing.

I can’t vouch for the sites, but I see estimates of Ashley’s worth ranging from $14 to $18 million in 2022.

Here you go. Where’s your cite on your claim that Wynonna is broke?

Wynonna:

Ashley:

LMAO I mean real websites not some garbage sites run by a 12 year old in Albania.

Like CNN, ABC, NY Times, NBC. Wash Post, even Fox news.

News websites don’t typically publish estimates of celebrities’ net worth. All of it is speculation and semi-educated guesses, and that’s likely all you’re going to see – not just for the Judds, but for any private citizen, unless they wind up as the subject of legal action related to their finances.

Even if Wynonna is spending money like water (and I’ve seen no evidence to suggest that she is), a fact is that she undoubtedly gets substantial royalty checks on a regular basis, from the music she recorded as a member of the Judds, as well as what she recorded during her solo career.

How is that cite about Wynonna being broke coming along? Is it from a “real website?”

I will give you a link when you give me a legit link. Deal? Nice that you admit your links are garbage

So, you don’t have a “legit” link, either? Something from CNN, ABC, NY Times, NBC. Wash Post, even Fox news, that says “Wynonna Judd is broke”?

[Moderating]

You asked for links, you got links. If you don’t like the links that are offered, you are more than welcome to provide your own. If you don’t think that there are any reliable links on the topic, then you’re welcome to drop the topic. Criticizing someone for providing better cites than you is unnecessarily hostile.

I know zero about any of the Judd’s finances, but I did read this:

Wynonna Judd told Good Morning America in 2011, “I traveled, I took friends, I rented jets. I loved the great rock star lifestyle.” Her extreme spending became serious enough that she ended up in rehab for money troubles and filed for bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy doesn’t mean she has no money, people often come out just fine after filing. Add in that she had over a decade of sales/royalties/tours since then and I think she’s probably okay on the money front.

Counterpoint: She might have lost her royalties from her earlier recordings in bankruptcy. Those would be assets in the bankruptcy estate that she might have been required to sign over to her creditors or to pay for as part of a Chapter 13 filing. She probably has the royalties to any songs she wrote and recorded after bankruptcy but she probably hasn’t had any hits like the ones pre-2011. I’m sure she made some money playing after 2011 but her fan base is aging and probably not seeing as many shows as they used to although perhaps they are richer and willing to pay more for seats now.

Some assets are shielded in bankruptcy, like retirement plans and some home equity. I certainly don’'t know what her retirement plans might have been worth. The exemption for home equity depends on the state. Florida is notably generous in this regard. Tennessee isn’t. I don’t know where her home was in 2011.
