Naruto Fans - What episodes should I watch or not watch?

Seeing as Naruto is not exactly high art, I realize this thread will probably sink like a stone, but here goes nothing. I’ve decided to start watching Naruto from the beginning without subtitles, partly for fun Ninja action and partly to practice my listening comprehension. (I realize Naruto has mostly strange and non-standard Japanese. I get enough standard Japanese from news, dramas, and variety shows.)

Unfortunately, I hear Naruto has a lot of crap episodes. Now, I don’t have anything wrong with filler in itself. As long as it’s quality, I don’t mind. Still, if I’m going to embark on a 200+ episode series, I might as well cut to the quality.

If I finish this and manage to understand most of it, my reward will be picking up Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 for the PS3 :slight_smile:

I’m willing to bet that most people who post here will tell you how much they hate filler episodes. Personally I like them and some of them are hilarious. That being said, not much really happens in the first 20 or so episodes of Naruto Shippuden, and watching them is like watching grass grow.
