I hope someone takes it on. I’ve been annoyed with it this year but it’s sunk in that it was cancelled and now I’m bummed.
Nooooooooooooooooooo! MY ending is “…and they all lived happily ever after.”
Well that wasn’t much of an ending, more like “Here’s the last episode we happened to film before the show got cancelled”.
I enjoyed it - bit of a guilty pleasure that my wife and I watched.
It’s a bit worse actually, they filmed a nice ending with Juliette and Avery reuniting at the airport after the plane touched down, but then they replaced it because they wanted to motivate networks to offer them a season five.
I cannot decide whether the fact that Juliette’s plane disappeared 90 miles from Nashville (Patsy Cline died in a plane 90 miles from Nashville, and Juliette played Patsy Cline) is a nice touch or heavyhanded.
I didn’t know they’d replaced the original ending scene. If no one else picks it up at least I know I did get my happily ever after. Thanks.
CMT has announced that it is ordering 22 new episodes of Nashville. It has not announced when they are being aired.
Interestingly, they are getting an $11 million subsidy from Tennessee and the City of Nashville.
Woohoo! I was surprised how sad I was with it ending given how disgusted I was this last season. Hopefully, CMT and the new production personnel will breathe new life into it, and most of the cast signs on,
Thanks, Alley Dweller!
Hopefully they will put the emphasis back on the music.
We’re going to need a season five thread.
It starts January 5th on CMT. Apparently, Connie Britton is only signed for ten episodes but maybe she’s holding out for more money.
