Natalie or Sharona?

Preference?

Alphabetical!

Natalie.

Huh?

Sharona. Also, they should get rid of that annoying neighbor, the one who won the lottery, and then lost his money by marrying the wrong sisters.

Sharona.

…I’ve been a fan of Traylor Howard from her days on the underated Boston Common, to her getting married to Captain Mal on the great Two Guys and a Girl. I was looking forward to her joining the cast of Monk, but I find her character… just not quirky enough. Traylor’s quirky dammit! She’s actually doing quite well, but her character being so far away from what I’m used to is a bit off-putting… we’re only three episodes into her run over here in NZ, so I’m sure once she’s settled into the role, I’ll feel more comfortable with her, but in the mean time, my vote goes to Sharona… :frowning:

I mentioend this once before on this oard, but here it is again:

Sharona played a bit better off of Monk. OTOH, I think Natalie is better for the series as a whole. She still plays pretty well off of Monk, and her no-nonsense characterization makes her a more interesting character. She doesn’t fit quite as well with some of the other oddball characters on the show, but she’s more likable for it.

Sharona!

Yes!

MY Sharona!

I think Sharona worked better with Monk, but herself was farm more annoying and not nearly as charming as Natalie.

Can I do both of them at once, or do you mean this more in the sense of which was a better sidekick for Adrian Monk?

It’s a tough call, but I think I’d rather be named Natalie.

It was an innocent question. Of course, I should have expected that some of you pervs would read some tawdry meaning into it.

Sharona.

I wonder what the preference would be if Natalie had been the original sidekick?

If you’re naming a baby, Natalie. If you’re naming a girl band, Sharona. Of course.

The one thing I miss about Sharona was the weird pseudo-chemistry she had with Lt. Disher. They actually made a bizarrely cute couple.

I was worried Natalie would be too pixie-cute, but she remains tough and outspoken, though not quite as brassy as Sharone (which is fine; that got a bit old). I also like the daughter better than Sharona’s son, though I didn’t like the trend that so many early cases seemed to revolve around Natalie peripherally. Making her a widow instead of a divorcee means less drama about the ex, which I found a bit distracting, too.

Natalie can stay.

Natalie!!!

My-my-my-i yi-Woo! . M M M My Sharona…
