Nazis and the arts

It seems that the arts owe the Nazis a debt of thanks. It seems every other movie that deals with actual events involves Nazis and WWII. There were multiple Star Trek episodes involving Nazis. Every time travel program always goes back and spends time in WWII. The clothing by the Empire in Star Wars is clearly based on SS uniforms, Which by the way were really much cooler that the Allies. Is there any other time period that movies spend so much time in?

America’s Old West? :dubious:

(Nazi uniforms, BTW, were designed by Hugo Boss.)

That’s a myth. Hugo Boss was a Nazi, and he ran a sweatshop using slave labour that manufactured uniforms for the Nazis, but he did not design them.

Karl Diebitsch designed Nazi uniforms.

Nobody owes the Nazis a debt of thanks. For anything.

But, yeah. Those were some sharp duds.

Wow!
