NBA 2022-23 Season

Appreciate the vote of confidence, but I’ll be the first to admit that there were 100 other college players that I swore would play in the NBA, but didn’t.

Obviously not my calling!

The San Antonio Spurs have won the 2023 Draft Lottery and will likely pick Victor Wembanyama.

He kind of reminds me of Shawn Bradley.

He is significantly more offensive gifted.

Well that’s good. In today’s WSJ, they’re comparing him to Tim Duncan. Another good sign

They are only doing that because he is going to the Spurs, I don’t see how they are similar players. Wilt is the closest I can think of.

Is anyone else watching the Boston-Miami game on YouTubeTV? It keeps freezing up on me. Rewinding to frozen spots, skipping over minutes of play, like something funky is going on with this system and wondering if it’s me in this 90 degree heat or if it’s YouTubeTV in general.

Turns out it wasn’t just me. Seems most of the west coast had issues for most of the game and then TNT on YouTubeTV crapped out completely with like four minutes left or something. Twitterverse is going bananas. Hey, maybe I’ll get a free month of YouTubeTV out of the deal.

Oh, not much happened during that stretch.

Lebron was looking gassed at the end of that game.

Got that right. Plus he missed a semi-open layup in the last minute that would have cut the lead to two. Instead, Denver got the rebound and the game was essentially over.

Denver has been playing very impressive ball. I can’t see how someone will beat them in the final, playing as they are.

Miami is not doing too bad. I will never understand Boston.

Never before have both conference finals ended with sweeps. Let’s see if this will be the year. But I probably jinxed it.

I was pulling for an old time Lakers v Boston final. That’s pretty long odds at this point.

Personally I want to see the Nuggets win the championship. They never have before.

Personally I think if Miami wins that would be the greatest feat in basketball history, so I can’t help but root for them. Even if they are our interstate rivals.

Hey, why? I’m not following the sport well enough to understand. Were they not very good?

They were a play in team, basically weren’t even supposed to make the playoffs. They actually lost the first play in game to the Hawks. So far they’ve beat Milwaukee who had the best record in the league and they are about to beat Boston who had the second best. If they beat Denver in the finals that is pretty much facing the three best teams in the league as a massive underdog.
