I agree, and think it was a good move. The Pistons were not going to win another championship with the team they had (trapped in the NBA wasteland of a team that’s playoff-caliber but really unlikely to beat any of the top three teams). So they got cap space for next year, while also being able to freeroll with AI for a year, on the off chance he sparks something (plus he’s probably worth something for the jersey sales/marketing).
Is Tracy McGrady the biggest crybaby in the NBA? He may be hurt. But, he pulls this crap all the time.
YOU don’t announce that you’re unable to play. Let the team announce it.
Since I’m sure there is some inevitable Ron Artest implosion to come, should we write off the Rockets this year?
What the hell was Zach Randolph doing last night? What an idiot!
Speaking of idiots, Jason Richardson is a huge idiot. I"m not quite sure where in Scottsdale you can drive 90 mph in a 45. You weren’t on a freeway, you were driving reckless with your 3 year old unrestrained in the back seat. I highly doubt you were sober.
What a bad loss for the Mavs last night. They were ahead at halftime and then only score 13 in the 3rd quarter to blow it to the Rockets. Nowitki with only 9 points in 43 minutes? On top of Jason Kidd’s 3 points for the entire game. Just a bad, bad loss against a team the Mavs should have beat.
On the other hand, the Phoenix Suns are on fire. 140 points a game for the last 3 games. Sure, against the Clippers and the OKC SuperThunder, but that’s still quite impressive for a team who just learned that Stoudemire is done for the year.
