The NBA is going to start Webcasting all of their games. Pretty cool, eh? Cusp of technology and all that. However, it looks like the idiots at the NBA decided to only offer it to those people that already have NBA League Pass (Satellite/Cable broadcast of all games). Kind of defeats the purpose of webcasting if they can already see it on TV. I suppose if you are travelling its nice but thats such a small portion of the potential webcast market.
The NBA has gone through extensive efforts to become an international game. They are constantly marketing themselves throughout the world. Here they have a golden oppurtunity to y’know capatilize on that investment. Instead they are basically giving them a giant middle finger. Its like they are saying “Yeah, we can do this and yeah, we will do this but not for you guys.” I just don’t get companies sometimes.
