NBA Owner's Racism Exposed

Do you think that’s a difficult question? The only issue is really whether Jewish is a race. Otherwise, hell yes. If it’s not racist it’s at least prejudiced or bigoted.

Sure would, SFP. Also does not seem like a trick question.

Yep, colossally prejudiced. And I’d suggest that if the hypothetical situation is one where someone can be identified as Jewish solely from a photo, it’s racist too, since it’s presumably depending on physiognomy to classify people. Unless someone has an Instagram full of guys in kippot.

I think I’m being whooshed.

Not meant to be a trick question, and I agree with you all. I was just curious if you all see this issue the same way I do. The answer is yes.

I wish people like him were portrayed as prejudiced rather than racist. The word racist has a spectrum of meanings, and bigots will use that to wiggle out of responsibility for their actions. They say they’re not a racist because they have friends of that race or that they hire them or something like that. But they couldn’t wiggle out of being called prejudiced. They clearly have preconceived notions of what people of certain races or religions are like.

So you’ll willingly surrender the definition of “racism” to racists?

I don’t think he’s racist like these people are at this Stormfront site. I think there is a big difference between him and some member of Stormfront. So I do think he’s getting a bit of a raw deal here.

Do you think any other obviously wrong things?

A raw deal? I’m sorry but that’s preposterous. Social consequences for racism shouldn’t limited only to those who are as racist as Stormfront.

I feel the term is too widely used. It means everything from someone who commits hate crimes to someone who thinks certain races prefer certain foods. Bigots can’t seem to understand that they are acting in a racist manner. By using more specific terms, it’s harder for them to deny they are bigots.

Well, I’m convinced.

Bigot is not a more specific term than racist.

It’s a pretty well known fact that black NBA players treat white players like crap. How come we never hear about that? I think something as stupid as this is being turned into something bigger than what it should be. Spike Lee made some ridiculous comments today, I seriously doubt anyone will make a big deal about that.

Thank you. I mean - God forbid that anybody in the NBA ever ACTIVELY do something that isn’t in the best interest of the L.A. Lakers!!

With my prescience, you’d think I could win a lottery or something. But no.

Not at all. We had a former "Exalted Cyclops: of the KKK in the Senate until recently, who once wrote:

He wasn’t “banned for life”, but maybe you think Byrd should have been…?

Punishment is due, but now it’s like the guy is tainted for life. I think that’s an overreaction.

How is it well known if we never hear about it?

Yeah, a few enormous housing discrimination settlements, some very public demands that his girlfriend stop associating with blacks, a history of bizarre race-related commentaries… let’s see where he’s going with this!

First, please cite that first claim about Black players treating White players badly? Second, what did Spike Lee say that you find ridiculous?
