NBC and its posting of shows online

Last week I watched the season premiere of scrubs online that night (I was at work). “Cool” thinks I… If I miss an episode I can watch it online without hunting for an illegal hosting on youtube or something like that… often wasting hours of time.

This evening I was at work and missed the episode. No worries… I’ll just go watch it online later.

And all they have up is episode 1.

What gives?

I think they post the online version the day after the broadcast version is aired. You might check tomorrow to see whether episode 2 is up.

Yes, they post it the day after. They usually post it fairly early in the morning though. I watch “Heroes” on NBC’s website the morning after it airs, after I get home from work (I work third shift) and it’s always been up by around 8am Central Time.

As an aside, ABC’s website, where I watch LOST, is updated around 4am Central Time. Or at least it was, back when I was working 2nd shift.

Also of note is that you will not be able to watch the show if your “hosts” file blocks “ad.doubleclick.net”. (There are lists of ad servers that you can add to your hosts file to block them. This allows you to avoid seeing many annoying banner ads and the like while surfing the net. NBC’s website is clever enough to not show the program if it can’t find the ad server.) But you can comment that line out of the file, ignore the ads, and then change the file back when you’re done.

I just started getting into Heroes, but I missed the season premiere this year. It appears to have been taken down from NBC’s website. Is there any place – like an archive or something – where I can find it?
