NBC's "Whitney" starring Whitney Cummings: I'm giving up on you

Do the world a favour and say stuff like this to any woman you meet right away - that should keep you from ever reproducing.

No we wouldn’t.

It has worked wonders in that regard.

Agreed. I like the actor but really, they go to so much effort every show to make him look like he just woke up under a bridge, why? Nobody can look like they haven’t shaved in two days, every single day, without some planning and effort. Either grow a beard or get off the pot.

All in all I like Whitney. She is hot to me, although I think someone has ordered her to “lose a few” - probably a standard order in the TV business when you get your own show. I find Whitney to be funny in the “hot chick who cusses and drinks like a guy” kind of way.

…right.

Seriously, try dating men.

You’ll soon learn that it’s not ‘women is crazy’, it’s that dating brings out the crazy and you only really notice it when you’re facing that glassy eyed look head on…

Heh heh. I never said men weren’t crazy. We are.

In the quixotic quest to prove, once and for all, that Women Can Be Funny, Whitney may go down as the Pickett’s Charge of the struggle.

I’m surprised that you cared. I can’t believe that she has a show. The only reason I think that she does is the influence of her friend Chelsea Handler (no comic genius herself) and that she has the same agent and producer that Dane Cook does. He’s the guy that fixed Last Comic Standing in it’s second season. He once represented Dave Chapelle, but Chapelle fired him when he found out that he was booking him for huge college shows without his knowledge, and then the directly before the show (after he had collected the money) told them that Chapelle wasn’t available and they’d have to accept a lesser comic.

The Stockholm Syndrome is the only reason your watching it. It’s got to be the worst sitcom ever. She’s just bad. The network must think she’s hot. Wrong. As a comedian her material is that tired old “men do this, and women do that”. and she screams into the mike. I really feel bad for Laura Prepon, who’s on her friend Chelsea Handlers equally unfunny sitcom. She deserves better. She has talent.

The best Status Update I saw on Facebook this past weekend:

“Anybody who watches NBC knows the wrong Whitney died.”

Now that, I’d watch.

The wrong Whitney died. awesome. Why do the talentless always live.

Well, your attitude is pleasant.

Well, I should hope not.

I almost never wish for the cancellation of shows that I don’t watch, but if *Whitney *and Are You There get cancelled and if that increases the chances of *Community *being renewed, then I pray to the television gods to make that happen.

I thought they were making a bio-pic about Whitney Houston starring Whitney Cummings.

Now THAT would be funny.

Really, 30 minutes of watching Whitney Houston floating in a bathtub would be more entertaining than Whitney.
