NCIS meets L&O:SVU

This program has hit the skids. The plots have deteriorated something awful and last night’s episode was a good (bad) example of this.

And Gibbs sends Ziva, who has all the gentleness and finesse of a sledgehammer, to get the wife to “open up”?

Tim had his credit card ripped off once before by a girlfriend, so let’s retire that idea, okay?

Even when the plots aren’t great, I used to enjoy the ensemble interaction, but that element is missing, too. If Gibbs gets any more taciturn and non-communicative, they’ll have to paint a white line around his face and have him play the part as a mime.

Never did explain about the watchband.

yeah - this is the first episode I can recall seeing and thinking that I jsut wasted an hour - that usually doesn’t happen.

As for the watchband - apparently the bar owner had one as well - think DiNozzo said that on the way into the bar - but at this point my memory is fuzzy on it.

It’s usually the person you least suspect. It’s just a matter of deciding who is least suspicious. I like the episodes where they divert from the case-of-the-week, although it was sort of shocking how earlier this season they set up the druglord sister to shoot the silhouette of her brother thinking it was someone else (or was it the other way around?)

The last few episodes this season seem flat, the character interactions aren’t that great.

Does anyone else find it amusing that when they identify themselves they say “NCIS!” If not for the show I’d say “Who?”

I think that every time. But I try to rationalize it that they are in a Navy town, where the NCIS might be better known than it is here in the land-locked midwest.

That was actually a running joke the first couple of seasons.

To be fair, Ziva is very good at getting people to open up. SHe basically threatens them with terrible, terrible damage if they don’t.
