Pretty lame episode. This used to be my favorite series, but the writing has gone way downhill. This episode was a good example of that.
Mike Franks, move ON, already!

I’m not a big watcher, only re-runs (which are on 24/7 where I live). The situations have always been incredibly unrealistic, laughably so. Tracking a person’s movements by the type of bug bite - c’mon.
Even so, what is making the show worse lately, IMHO, is that it is more and more about character development and the relationships of the leads less about plot. This happens to just about every show after a few years - ER comes to mind and all the Law and Orders.
Thanks so much for this reply… I was wondering if I was invisible.
So right about too much personal life stuff. And there seems to be much less humor than in the past.
It’s true that the situations are not realistic, but I’ve always liked the show for those times when you want something that makes no emotional or intellectual demands on you, but you don’t feel like a comedy or food network.
Jethro’s terseness is really getting on my nerves.
I’m a great fan of NCIS but watch it on different stations and on occassion in different countries, so I’ve watched them mostly completely out of order.
My main complaints about the programme are when they start pretending to be spies or talk about how they used to do spying cos it all seems very silly to me.
Also DeNozo is made human and bearable because of his insecurities and immaturity, lately I’ve noticed that they’re trying to down play those characteristics, if they do he will become unlikeable and unbelieveable.
Don’t much like mushy emotional connections between the people either.
L4L- I agree that the characters, who were never all that deep to begin with, have become even more one-dimensional. I used to love the interaction of the ensemble, but that seems to be disappearing.
They totally evaded the plot point of whether Jethro shot the guy and whether he should be prosecuted for it. It was a major point of the cliffhanger from last Spring.
Maybe because they ‘sort of’ resolved last season’s cliffhanger, theyll go back to the formula. Enough of this spy stuff!! What are they NCIS Los Angeles!!
NCIS does “spy” though. In addition to criminal investigations NCIS is the intelligence agency for the navy.
Not at all - The boss, quite literally, buried the report - which means he read it.
I feel fairly certain that something more will be said about it - we’re just not sure what yet.
And who is “him” ??
Always loved the show but i think they should have ended last year with this episode and started this year with at least a few goofy single story shows.
One of the main reasons I watched the show is because when they are back at the office they joke around and have a little fun, like real life. Obviously when they are at a scene or with a suspect they should act professional, but the more serious the inter office dynamic gets the worse it is.
