Well, I know the big news is China’s Great Leap Into Space or whatever they’re calling it, but I’m personally cheering for Burt Rutan and Space Ship One to beat them!!! And even if Burt doesn’t beat them he shouldn’t be too far behind. Go Burt Go!!

To launch people into space on 40 year old technology is not really threatening or remarkable in my books. I’m impressed China has managed to put all this together but it doesn’t really rank up there in achievements.
I mis-read the title as “Manned Chinese Space Lunch.” I was picturing the Chinese sending up dim sum and General Tso’s to the International Space Station astronauts.
Actually, I’ve been wondering what’s keeping them and the Japanese from sending people up. I guess in the case of the Chinese, it’s feeding all those people.
