Need advice from London Dopers (Ryainair)

Firstly, I’ll say that I’m never flying Ryanair again. I realize that it may be advantageous for some people on some routes, but it really sucks in my situation from going to London from Aarhus, Denmark. I’m eventually going to Barcelona, but its bad to get connecting Ryanair flights. Well, the bastards changed my flights so many times that it has thoroughly screwed stuff up. Not only do I have to spend the night in Reus in Barcelona, I also have to spend the night in London from about 22.00 to 7.45 or so. I’ll be in Stanstead, and I have no idea what to do. All I know is that I don’t want to spend a lot of money, and that seems like it will be hard to avoid. So if you have any idea about what I can do in this area, I’d be grateful.

Also! If any London doper wants to take care of me for those few hours I’d be really grateful. I’d certainly be able to bring food from Spain (That’s where I’m going), so I’d trade a bed for the night for some jamon serrano any day. Or maybe a nice tortilla de patatas? I’m trying my best here! Well, its worth a shot anyway.

UK’s Channel 4 TV did an investigation into Ryanair which was broadcast yesterday evening and which I missed. Not very complimentary if I understand the reviews.

Too bad I’m down in the west of England - tortillas de patatas is one of my fave raciones.

Are those times your arrival at Stansted and your flight time in the morning? If so, you’re going to struggle to use the Stansted Express, and so will be stuck on a long bus in, or an expensive taxi (or very friendly doper!) Of course, if they’re your times to arrive into London, then fair enough.

That C4 programme seemed to be a bit of a hatchet-job…staff complaining that they’re tired? Show me a company where they don’t.

Here’s a tip. If you are making a connection never use Ryanair or any other low-cost. Scheduled airlines are worth it. For a straightforward point-to-point at dirt-cheap prices, they’re fine.

Spending the night at Stanstead? You have my profound sympathies, is all I can say.
