Sleeping in Stansted airport

I am going to London next weekend. Got a flight for $50 from Germany.
The time of the flight isn’t the best, I arrive at Stansted airport at around 11pm. Since the bus ride to the city takes about an hour, I thought I’d just sleep in the airport and take a bus out the next morning at 7am or so. I did the same thing this spring when I had connection flight at Heathrow.
Anyone know if that is possible at Stansted? I am fine with sleeping on the chairs, just need to know if there is a no-sleep policy or something.

The Budget Traveller’s Guide to Sleeping in Airports

Believe it or not, there is actually a page dedicated to this question (well, dedicated to the sleeping prospects in various London airports – you’ll have to scroll down 2/3 of a page for Stansted). Sounds like it gets mixed reviews on comfort, but it’s certainly possible.

Oh damn, I see astro beat me to the Sleeping in Airports site. However, the London page (the one I linked to) has additional information and reviews, not all of which are as grim as the one quoted.

Thanks for the great link, just what I nedded. Seems to be ok, I don’t expect it to be really quiet and warm. I can sleep pretty much anywhere.
What’s with this one guy mentioning there is a tube connection from Stansted to London? I thought the tube was not connected to the aiport.

It’s not a Tube train as such, but it gets into Liverpool Street, which is an interchange station for several Underground lines.

Here’s some info about transport between Stansted and London. And here’s the London Underground site.

OK, I guess I’ll take the bus since it’s a lot cheaper than the express train.
