Need help choosing appropriate forum

I’d like to start a thread discussing the Straight Dope tagline: Fighting Ignorance Since 193 (It’s taking longer than we thought).

The discussion would be about whether the tagline is arrogant and encourages arrogance.

Which forum would be most appropriate for this discussion?

Also, I’m sure it’s been discussed before but I can’t search for similar posts. (I’m still evaluating whether I want to become a member.)

Any suggestions?

Um … Great Debates? Sounds like it’s something to really nut out there, with conflicting points of view, and possible citations both pro and con.

Not so far as I recollect.

I’m not sure where such a topic would go, I’m going to therefore make the arbitrary (and somewhat bizarre) ruling – er, more of a guideline – that you put it in “Comments on Cecil’s Columns.” My rationale is that it’s a comment on Cecil’s tagline, and that’s close enough.

Please indicate, when you start the post, that you had my permission to place it there.
