I am an eBay newbie, so please forgive my ignorance…
Is there a way to set up an “agent” within eBay that would inform me, via email, when an item or certain class of items are offered for sale?
That is, can I tell eBay to be on the lookout for a certain model of a used Harmon Kardon receiver (demonstration - not really what I am after) and if it is ever offered, an email would be generated and sent to me?

Yep. Go to “My eBay” and log in, then click Searches from the navigation list on the left, then Add A Search. Make sure you click the “save this search” checkbox on the form. Then, run the search, and you should get a box asking how often you want the search results emailed to you.

So, I don’t need to trigger the searches myself? I can set up to run once a day or week?
The search runs daily and if there’s a match it emails it to you.
