Is there a way within ebay, or an application, that will notify me if a particular item is offered for sale on ebay?

The item I am interested in occasionally appears on ebay. It is rare enough that there have been no sales of it within the past 90 days, but searching forums for the item has led me to a few references to completed ebay auctions that are no longer available for viewing on ebay.

Is there a way for me to set something up that will notify me if the item is offered for sale on ebay?

Yes. When you do a search and get the results page it’ll say how many it found and next to that is ‘save search’. click on that and you can have it email you when an item is listed that matches your search terms.
