Need help identifying a webcomic

Around 18 months ago I discovered a reasonably well-drawn comic when it was just 50-70 strips into the first story arc, and since I’ve been unable to remember the title I thought I would ask around. The major plot points I can remember revolved around several seemingly unrelated characters, and go as follows:

  1. The comic begins with a young well-to-do (and bespectacled) child who meets a presumably lower-class girl around his age. They appear to be headed for Bad Romance Novel land, but the story fast-forwards about 15 years to discover that cute girl has turned into Insanely Manipulative Bitch, who has been begging money off of naive boyfriend to buy drugs, and cheating on him all the while. He finds out, begs out, and buggers off.

  2. In between, betwixt, and possibly around druggie story, we meet two sisters or close friends - I honestly can’t remember which they were. In any event, one sister gets an Italian penpal, becomes obsessed with Italy, and presumably grows up to have wacky adventures that involve mobsters and pizza. The other sister dies horribly from some unnamed-but-terrible regenerative neurological disease.

And that’s more or less it. The comic was well-drawn and unusually well-scripted, so I’ve been interested in seeing whether it turned into something decent or puttered out into masturbatory philosophical rants delivered in a lukewarm soap opera-esque fashion.

I’d appreciate if anyone can work out what I’m ranting about from my scattered descriptions.

Dunno if you found it, but it actually sounds a bit like striptease, albeit a little disjointed and wrong in a bit of the description. I still read it, still like it, though I’m a little worried about cutesy wedding plotlines in the near future.

Found it! It was called Broken Mirror, died off shortly after I stopped reading, and apparently ticked a lot of people off due to 1) bad writing, 2) flaccid character development, and 3) starting in a fascinating way and then a) never following through and b) begging out with a bunch of freshman philosophy BS instead of just admitting that the writer was bored and lost. So masturbatory philosophical rants delivered in a lukewarm soap opera-esque fashion it was!

(Mods, you probably want to put this lurching, undead mess back in the grave-feel free! ^^)
