Need help removing hair color

What was supposed to be a temporary teal hair coloring from Splat! has lasted many months, and I am looking to remove it (or at least lighten it up as much as possible. I have tried several suggested home remedies, such as a combination of clarifying shampoo and baking soda, and apple cider vinegar and baking soda, and neither had much of an effect. I tried a product called Color Oops but apparently it doesn’t work on the type of coloring I used.
Any suggestions?

IME, gray hair is so porous that artificial colors tend to become permanent. You may be stuck it with unless/until you override it with something else.

Back in the olden days (1960s/1970s), lemon juice was recommended as a way to fade out colors. I have no idea (and doubt) if it works.

You may be stuck with either re-dying it a new tone, or cutting it off and starting anew. I wish you luck! Hopefully someone with more knowledge chines in.

Lemon juice certainly gave me some dodgy highlights in the 80s!

I’d use a situation like this as an excuse to shave my head.

When I was younger I tried bleaching my hair to see what I’d look like blond, but my hair is too dark and it just went orange. I didn’t want to take the nuclear option which is to bleach it totally white with the stronger chemicals and then add back in the blond color (it was pretty clear my overall complexion and eyebrows weren’t going to jibe with light hair anyway). So I just got some brown hair dye similar to my original color and that fixed it right up.

Not sure what you mean by “temporary” but if the color is still there months later, I assume you aren’t talking about the type that you spray /brush on and it just sits on top of your hair and comes out after one shampoo. If you are talking about semi-permanent dye which is supposed to wash out over multiple shampoos, I don’t think mine ever completely washed out - the gray hair seemed to have absorbed the dye in a way the not-gray hair didn’t. If you really want to get rid of the teal, you might have to do some combination of dying it a darker color and/or cutting or shaving it.
