I heard a Randy Travis song at lunch on the radio but was doing other things so I just caught a bit of it.
On the face of it, it seems like it should be easy but my google-fu has failed me. Anyway…
Randy Travis song, pretty sure it was a religious song. It has the line “Dear Lord” in it. But here’s the thing, it was a straight 3 chord, 12 barre blues progression. If you think you have it, and it’s not a blues-type song, you don’t have it. Hopefully that will eliminate a lot of guesses.

Good luck. I’m curious what a religious blues by Randy Travis might sound like. I visited the A-Z Lyric Site and clicked on about 50 likely titles, checked for “Dear Lord” in the lyrics, and listened to a bit of five songs on YouTube. No bluesy stuff.
Well, I’m still searching. I found a surprising thing… many message boards charge $5 to join! Weird. I’m waiting on confirmation to join others, mostly country song forums, or music forums.
I also wrote the radio station. The DJ is out sick and says he will get back to me after he’s back. I would’ve thought that was something he could remember off the top of his head - I mean he played it after all.
